  1. Heat oil in a saucepan and fry 2 finely chopped onions till they turn golden brown.Remove and spread on a tissue paper.
  2. Now add peeled and chopped garlic cloves in the oil and fry them till they turn golden brown. Add 1 cup soaked white lentils, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp turmeric, red chilli, 4 black pepper, 2 cinnamon and 4 cloves. Cook slightly for a while.
  3. Add salt and 3 green chilies and 1 cup hot water, stir and cover the pan with the lid. Leave the pan on low flame. When the water dries off, keep it on a pan to simmer.
  4. Now add finely chopped mint leaves, some chopped ginger, 3 finely chopped green chilies and 1 tbsp butter.
  5. When the ingredients are all tender enough sprinkle fried onions, mint leaves and chopped green chilies, chopped ginger.
