The ingredients needed to make Kadahi Paneer:
  1. Prepare For Kadahi masala-
  2. Take 1 Tb coriander seeds
  3. Prepare 2-3 dry whole red chillies
  4. Make ready 1 tsp jeera / cumin
  5. Take 1 tsp saunf/fennel
  6. Make ready 3-4 cloves/laung
  7. Take 2 green cardamom
  8. Get 5-6 black pepper corns
  9. Take For Kadahi gravy-
  10. Take 2 Tbsp+ 1 Tbsp ghee+oil
  11. Prepare 1 tsp fenugreek/ methi seeds
  12. Make ready 1 small onion finely chopped
  13. Take 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  14. Get 2 Tb tomato puree
  15. Take 1 inch ginger chopped in jullienes
  16. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric
  17. Get 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  18. Prepare to taste Salt
  19. Get Other ingredients-
  20. Make ready 1 medium onion chopped into dices/cubes
  21. Prepare 1 large green capsicum chopped into dices
  22. Prepare 500 g malai paneer chopped into 1 inch dices
  23. Get 1 Tb kasuri methi
  24. Take 1 tsp garam masala
  25. Get as required Green coriander for garnishing
Instructions to make Kadahi Paneer:
  1. To prepare Kadahi masala, dry roast all ingredients under Kadahi masala till slight fragrance is there. Cool and grind to a coarse powder or pound coarsely in a mortar and pestle.
  2. To prepare Kadahi gravy. Heat the oil and ghee in a pan. Add methi Dana. Now add chopped onion and cook till transparent. Add tomatoes and tomato puree and salt and cook till gravy is soft and oil seperates.
  3. Now add the ginger jullienes, haldi, Kashmiri red chilli powder and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add water if required to make the gravy as semi liquid.
  4. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and saute onion dices and capsicum dices till slightly soft. Now add paneer and saute for a minute.
  5. Now add the prepared gravy and the kadahi masala to it. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add crushed kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well. Cook for a minute and serve garnished with coriander leaves and teaspoon of butter(optional).
