The ingredients needed to make Bacon Gravy:
  1. Take 5 ml Olive oil
  2. Prepare 400 grams Streaky bacon (the fattier the better)
  3. Prepare 1 Onion, finely chopped
  4. Get 1 tablespoon All purpose flour
  5. Prepare 250 ml Fresh cream
  6. Make ready 300 ml Full cream milk
  7. Get to taste Salt and pepper
Instructions to make Bacon Gravy:
  1. Using the olive oil, fry of all the bacon until crispy. Then set the bacon aside.
  2. Remove some of the bacon fat from the frying pan, don't discard.
  3. Fry the onion in the pan until light brown. Now add the rest of the bacon fat.
  4. Put your plate on a low heat and whisk in the flour.
  5. Begin adding the cream bit by bit, whisking it constantly so that it doesn't get lumpy, now do the same with the milk. Stop adding milk when it reaches a gravy like consistency, or add more if it's too thick.
  6. Chop up the bacon and add to the gravy. Add the salt and pepper and simmer for 5 minutes while stirring.
  7. Serve on bread with egg
