  1. Get Soaked split Moong Dal
  2. Prepare Fresh Curd
  3. Make ready Green Chilli
  4. Get Asafoetida
  5. Prepare Gram Flour

  8. Take Cumin Seeds
  9. Prepare Dry Mango Powder

Instructions to make Moong Dal Savoury:
  1. First make the batter, for that soak the moong dal for atleast 2-3 hours and then drain well.
  2. Combine the soaked dal, 2 green chilli, curd and 1/4 cup of water and blend it in a mixer grinder to a smooth paste
  3. Add salt, asafoetida, gram flour and baking soda in it, mix it gently and keep it aside.
  4. For topping, boil the green peas and coarsely mash it.Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, saute it and then add the green peas,salt, dry mango powder,1 tbsp of green chillies and chopped coriander leaves into it. Mix it well and cook it for 2 minutes,while stirring continuously and keep it aside.
  5. Then heat a tawa, grease it with oil, pour a spoonful of batter on it and spread it in circular motion and make it like a cheela.
  6. When it cooks little from upside, then spread little topping on it and press it gently. Cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes and then flip it and cook it well from both the sides.Take it out and then serve it.
