  14. Take 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  18. Make ready 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  19. Take 1 tsp Kasturi methi
  20. Get 1 mace
  21. Prepare 1 Star anise
  22. Get 4-5 Black pepper
  23. Get 2 Green cardamom
  24. Get 1 Black cardamom
  25. Get Cinnamon stick 1
  26. Make ready 1 tsp Cumin seed
  27. Make ready 1 Bay leaf
  28. Take 3-4 cloves
  29. Get to taste Salt
  30. Prepare 3 tbsp Ghee

Instructions to make Mutton Masala:
  1. Take a bowl put mutton, curd, Ginger-garlic paste, salt and lemon juice and mix well and let it marinate for 30 mins.
  2. Heat a heavy bottom pan put ghee and add whole garam masala and stir it
  3. Now add sliced onions and saute till golden in colour
  4. Now add Ginger, garlic and chilli paste and stir it
  5. Now add marinated mutton and cook for 5-7minutes on low to medium flame
  6. Now add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mutton masala and salt and saute it
  7. Now add grated tomatoes and cook for 7-8 minutes
  8. Now add hot water and cover the lid and cook for 10-15 minutes, stir it time to time - If the quality of water is reduced then add some hot water
  9. Now add kasturi methi and pepper powder and cook for 10 -15 or till mutton is done.
  10. Mutton masala is ready
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander, onions ring
